Google+ was launched by Google in 2011 as a social media platform intended to rival Facebook. Despite an initial surge in popularity, it struggled to gain traction among users. However, it persevered, constantly evolving and introducing innovative features such as Communities and Collections. These additions were aimed at engaging users with shared interests and fostering a sense of community. Although it never reached the same level of success as Facebook, Google+ developed a strong and loyal user base, particularly in niche communities such as photography and technology. In October 2018, Google announced the shutdown of consumer version of Google+. Nevertheless, its resilience and continuous attempts to stay relevant are commendable.#22#
